Donate to Cam Skate

Cam Skate is a Community Interest Company which means every penny we earn is reinvested back into paying for the resources that further our mission - improving skating facilities in Cambridge, including The Warehouse indoor skatepark!

All donations are massively appreciated - thank you!

What donations fund

Moving The Warehouse

The Warehouse is an example of Meanwhile Use - we're using this space while it awaits demolition and redevelopment. It's this agreement that allowed the skatepark to exist in the first place.

We're really thankful to Railpen for giving us this opportunity and extending our lease by another year. But the temporary nature of our lease means we're going to have to move the park to a new location in July 2026!

We estimate a cost of around £15k-30k to prepare our next space and disassemble, move and reassemble the ramps.

You can help us meet our goal and enable the continuation of this valuable community resource by making a donation.

Coaching

Our budget goes towards funding places on our After School Clubs and Holiday Skate Camps for kids who can't normally afford them. These places are partly funded by a generous contribution from Cambridge City Council.

We have delivered over 700 hours of free skateboarding lessons and free skateboarding equipment to participants, as part of this project!

Check out this quote from a parent of a child who attends through this project:

Thank you for all the guidance and acceptance with my child in their skateboarding journey. As their mum, watching them find their happiness means everything to me and I really appreciate all of you. Prior to skateboarding they didn't really have a focus but now everything is about when/where we can go next.

As well as providing a space for existing skateboarders, we're also trying to grow the skateboarding community and get more people into the sport. You can help us get more people skating by making a donation.

Maintaining and extending The Warehouse

We're constantly refreshing and extending the layout at the park with new features, funded from ticket sales and donations!

In November 2024 we worked with The Skate Parchitect to deliver a massive extension to the street section, improving park flow and introducing some small, beginner friendly features like a two-stair.

In July 2025 we extended our beginner section with a mellow quarter pipe, bank and spine, as well as a bunch of new modular manual pads and kickers for the street section.

We also refreshed all the lighting in the park with brighter, more energy efficient LED bulbs, thanks to a generous donation of time and equipment from SES Engineering Services.

Improving skating facilities in Cambridge

Cam Skate continues to push for better skating facilities in and around Cambridge, as well as providing our own facilities at The Warehouse.

In October 2024 we identified areas of Jesus Green Skatepark that needed repairs, and worked with the council to implement this.

We're currently in contact with the council about the installation of floodlights at the skatepark for the winter months.

Your donations go directly towards the time and resources that are needed to advocate for Cambridge skateboarders - thank you!
