We manage an indoor skatepark that's open 7 days a week, run for and by the community.
Since October 2024 we have offered a safe and welcoming space, all year round, 7 days a week, for people of all ages to come and skate, rollerskate/blade, or ride scooters, at an accessible price.
50+ volunteers give their time regularly to support our mission.
We've created a community of volunteers who have genuine ownership over this project, shaping it to their needs and the needs of the wider community.
Every time we have an Open Session, it's because someone has given their time to make it happen!
We are growing the skateboarding community with free coaching for those who need it.
Through our coaching programme we are getting more people into skateboarding, and we offer free lessons and equipment to young people who can't normally afford to experience this.
Our free skateboarding coaching places are funded in part from the proceeds of our paid coaching and entry fees, as well as a generous grant from Cambridge City Council, and funding from the Holiday Activities and Food programme.
"Thank you for all the guidance and acceptance with Jacob in his skateboarding journey. As his mum, watching him find his happiness means everything to me and I really appreciate all of you. Prior to skateboarding Jacob didn't really have a focus but now everything is about when/where we can go next. From the bottom of my heart Thank you all!"— Rochelle
"Dear Pete and Ali - thank you so much for being the best skateboard teachers ever. I have had so much fun with you and in the club. I have learnt lots of cool things and you always helped me and I am the luckiest person in the whole world because of you and because of my amazing new red starwars skateboard. I'm really going to miss the club and all of you in Germany. Lots of love from Felix."— Felix, After School Club attendee
"Dear Pete, Ali and James - it is hard to put it into words, but thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for us. It's not only Felix - knowing that he was with you, having fun and absolutely enjoying the sessions, has been such a support for me too. Watching his confidence grow on and off the board has been a joy and that's all thanks to you - your incredible teaching and the positive, encouraging atmosphere you have created. It's rare to find something so special."— Felix's parents

"I am an absolute beginner skater. Visited for the first time on Girls Night and was amazed at the place!! Welcoming, clean, well maintained, even had skateboards and helmets to borrow! Emily who was volunteering on the night helped me master the basics and got me to go down a ramp!! I hope to see this place stay in Cambridge for a very long time to come!"— Sara

How does The Warehouse benefit its users?
Skateparks generate massive physical and mental health benefits, often among those who otherwise might not be active. 4
As a Community Interest Company, we are a not-for-profit entity and this allows us to keep the mental and physical benefits of the park at an accessible price of £5 per session.
We're always on the lookout for more volunteers, or organisations to partner with to continue our mission. Please do get involved or donate.
